Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham in concrete negotiations with Jonathan David

Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham are in talks for Jonathan David ahead of the summer with the striker available on a free transfer.

According to Le 10 Sport, Jonathan David could be headed to the Premier League on a free transfer as negotiations are underway with at least three English clubs. Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham are in talks with the Canadian’s representatives over a move, as his preference seems to be unclear at this point.

Premier League sides at the top end of the table are all looking for new attackers, particularly a central striker. Arsenal are among those specifically looking for a striker in the market, with calls to bring in a new No.9 to bolster Mikel Arteta’s attack growing louder by the day.

They have Alexander Isak on top of their list, while Benjamin Sesko is another target that Arteta would like in case the Swede becomes unachievable. In any case, the Gunners are keen on a striker, with the report stating they are already in talks with Jonathan David’s camp, with the striker set to leave LOSC Lille on a free transfer in the summer.

Tottenham and Manchester United are among those keen on David, with the Canadian’s availability on a free transfer the biggest attraction for those sides. Alongside Arsenal, Spurs and the Red Devils are also in talks with the striker’s camp.

David wants to make the move to the Premier League, as he has refused to sign a new deal at LOSC Lille. He’s coming at the back of another prolific season with 33 goals and assists this season across all competitions, as there’s a chance one of the three clubs could sign him.

Where can Jonathan David join?

Manchester United will likely try their level best to try and sign the Canadian given his attractive availability on a free transfer. The financial constraints at Old Trafford might force them into considering a move for the 33 G/A striker, while Tottenham are also keen to add a new centre-forward to bring competition in the No.9 spot.

Arsenal, on the other hand, are not thought to be prioritising a move for David, although he could be a player they might consider along the way. Talks with clubs could accelerate as the season ends with Lille, with the striker likely to choose his next destination as soon as the season ends.
