Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur keen on Enzo Millot

Arsenal and Tottenham are both keen on signing VfB Stuttgart midfield sensation Enzo Millot ahead of next season.

Enzo Millot could end up parting ways with VfB Stuttgart in the summer as he looks to take the next step in his career. According to Bild via SportWitness, Arsenal and Tottenham are both interested in acquiring his services, and they could end up battling it out for his signature.

Millot was a part of the AS Monaco youth setup. He went up the ranks at some pace and got promoted to their first team in the summer of 2020. After a season with their senior side where he hardly got any opportunities, the 22-year-old attacking midfielder ended up moving to Stuttgart.

The move to Germany has certainly worked out in his favour. Not only has he established himself as a key figure in the Bundesliga outfit, but he has also been a consistent performer for France at the youth level.

While Millot prefers playing as a number ten, he can feature on either flank, in a deeper role in midfield, and as a second striker when needed. He has been involved in a total of 37 matches in the ongoing campaign and has contributed towards 15 goals (8 goals, 7 assists).

The French youth international’s performances have put him on the radar of Arsenal and Tottenham, who have been monitoring him ahead of a potential move in the summer.

Millot is ready for the next step in his career

Millot, currently on international duty with France U21s, spoke to reporters about his future, hinting that he is ready for a move to a bigger club.

He said via SportWitness: “A departure? Yes, of course, that’s a goal I’ve set for myself. To be able to take a step forward,”

His words could be a massive boost for the North London clubs who want to prise him away from Stuttgart. At Arsenal, he could cover for Martin Odegaard as well as Bukayo Saka, which could solve a lot of their issues. Meanwhile, he could compete with James Maddison for a place in the starting XI at Spurs.

While Millot’s contract at the German club runs until the summer of 2028, he has already suggested he is ready for the next challenge. Meanwhile, his contract includes a release clause worth under €20 million, which shouldn’t be much of a problem for either of the Premier League clubs. The final decision will be in the player’s hands as both Arsenal and Tottenham are ready to battle for his signature.
