Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr set to step up interest in Mohamed Salah

Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah has been linked with a move away from the Merseyside club ahead of the summer transfer window.

As per a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Saudi Arabian clubs are keen on signing 32-year-old and Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah, and Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr will step up their efforts to get the deal done.

The veteran attacker will be a free agent in the summer, and he has not signed an extension with Liverpool yet. Salah has been in world-class form this season, and he is undoubtedly the best player in the world right now. Signing him for free would represent an excellent bargain for the two Saudi Arabian clubs. It remains to be seen where he ends up.

Salah will be hoping to fight for major trophies, and he should look to continue in European football for now. The player is very much at the peak of his powers, and moving to Saudi Arabia could be a poor decision. He has helped Liverpool climb to the top of the table this season, and it remains to be seen whether he can guide them to a Premier League title.

The 32-year-old should look to continue at a top European club and fight for league titles and UEFA Champions League trophies for now. He will have plenty of opportunities to move to Saudi Arabia in future.

It will be interesting to see if the two Saudi Arabian outfits come forward with lucrative proposals to get the deal done in the summer. They have the resources to offer him a mind-boggling contract, and it remains to be seen whether the Egyptian is tempted.

Liverpool must keep Salah

Ideally, Liverpool should look to tie him down to a new long-term deal and keep him at the club for as long as possible. Even though he is 32, the experienced attacker has exceptional fitness record, and he could compete at a world class level deep into his thirties.

Losing a player of his quality would be a blow for any club, but losing him for free would be devastating for Liverpool. Salah is more than just a goalscorer, and he is a world class creator as well. Replacing him could prove to be a near impossible task for the Premier League side.
