Manchester United considering Juan Gimenez move

Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United are reportedly plotting a raid on Rosario Central for their defensive sensation Juan Gimenez.

Manchester United have made some significant changes to their transfer policy of late. The Red Devils will focus more on signing young prospects with massive potential rather than breaking the bank on big names stars, as it has not really worked out for them.

Having snatched Chido Obi-Martin from Arsenal, the Manchester-based giants are now looking to add another gem to their squad. According to a report from Give Me Sport, the Red Devils are considering making a move for Juan Gimenez, who has had an exceptional rise at Rosario Central.

The 18-year-old centre-back has come up the ranks at the Argentine club; he got promoted to their first team ahead of the ongoing campaign and has only gone from strength to strength since. He already has 20 senior appearances to his name, and his performances have put him on the radar of quite a few top clubs.

While the teenager prefers playing as a central defender, he can even feature on the right flank. His contract at Rosario Central runs until the end of the year, but there are high chances of him being on the move in the summer.

Manchester United are one of the clubs that have taken note of his rise, and they would love to add him to their squad. The Red Devils have added quite a few young stars to their team since the arrival of Amorim, and they are looking to continue in a similar fashion.

Manchester United to push for Gimenez

Upon their scouting mission in South America, they came across Juan Gimenez, who has massive potential. After watching him in action for a while, the scouts seem to have given the green light, which is why Manchester United are considering making a move ahead of next season.

Meanwhile, the teenage sensation also seems keen on the switch as he has been given proof that there will be a route to the first team depending on his performances at the youth level and in training.

With Ayden Heaven, Chido Obi-Martin, and Toby Collyer all getting a run in the first team, it is quite clear that Amorim won’t hesitate from giving the young prospects an opportunity. Despite adding Leny Yoro and Heaven, Manchester United still want more depth and quality at the back as they are not convinced that their youth players can setup up.

The Red Devils are looking to lure Gimenez to Old Trafford, and they have held positive discussions with the Argentine club. However, there is uncertainty about when he would like to make the switch as he does not want to hamper his development.
