Tottenham keen on re-signing Dennis Cirkin, face competition from Chelsea, Crystal Palace, West Ham United

Tottenham are eager to re-sign Dennis Cirkin in the summer, as they face competition from a host of Premier League rivals for the left-back.

According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Tottenham could make a move to re-sign former full-back Dennis Cirkin in the summer transfer window. The 22-year-old has been excellent for Sunderland in the EFL Championship, but Spurs face intense competition from the likes of Chelsea, West Ham United, and Crystal Palace for the left-back.

Dennis Cirkin has been a brilliant acquisition for Sunderland. He is currently considered one of the best full-backs in the Championship. With three goals and two assists to his name for the Black Cats, the 22-year-old whizkid could anticipate a big move to the Premier League in the summer.

Tottenham are in the mix to re-sign Dennis Cirkin, who left the club in 2021 without making a senior appearance. He has since forged a name with Sunderland, as Spurs are now considering bringing him back to the club as Ange Postecoglou contemplates adding a new left-back to his squad.

Spurs currently have Destiny Udogie and Djed Spence as their options, although the latter is a natural right-back. Postecoglou might view a long-term position for him alongside Pedro Porro on the right flank. Meanwhile, someone like Cirkin could be a great addition to this squad as the Australian manager continues to build his backline.

Meanwhile, defenders like Sergio Reguilon and Ben Davies could depart, opening space for a new left-back in the squad. Cirkin could be seen as a good addition, although Tottenham face considerable competition from Premier League rivals for the 22-year-old Championship whizkid.

Dennis Cirkin attracting significant interest

Cirkin may consider the interest from Tottenham to be a big sign of his rising stature, but he will have plenty of other offers on the table. Chelsea are the other big club seeking to make a move for the defender, as they are eager to bring the best young profiles in every position.

West Ham United and Crystal Palace are also in the mix for the 22-year-old Championship whizkid, with Dennis Cirkin likely to choose a new club based on his role there. For now, Spurs may not guarantee him a starting spot, but the prospect of returning to North London could be tempting for the Sunderland star.
