Crystal Palace eyeing Lewis Koumas move apart from Ben Doak

Crystal Palace are reportedly keen on signing two Liverpool wonderkids Lewis Koumas and Ben Doak ahead of next season.

According to a report from The Sun, Crystal Palace are plotting a raid on Liverpool for Lewis Koumas and Ben Doak. The Eagles are already pushing for the signature of the Scottish international and are also considering making a move for the Welsh international, who is putting in impressive performances on loan at Stoke.

Doak was a part of the Celtic youth setup before he made the move to the Merseyside club in the summer of 2022. While he got promoted to their first team in 2023, the 19-year-old right-winger only got a handful of opportunities.

As a result, the Reds ended up sending him out on loan to Middlesbrough for the ongoing campaign. The youngster has been involved in a total of 24 matches, and he has contributed towards ten goals for the second-division outfit. While the teenager certainly has a bright future, he might not get enough opportunities in the Liverpool first team who already have a lot of quality in the final third and will be looking to add more ahead of next season.

Crystal Palace keen on signing Ben Doak

Multiple top clubs are keeping a close eye on Ben Doak and would love to sign the Liverpool sensation. Bournemouth are one of the clubs that are keen on his signature and Crystal Palace are ready to battle them in the pursuit of his services. While the London club failed to sign in the winter, they will return for his signature in the summer.

The Eagles are always on the lookout for young players who can help them in the long run. Crystal Palace have invested in young stars in the past, and it has done wonders for them. Apart from their interest in Doak, Palace are also interested in Koumas, who has been doing wonders for Stoke City in the EFL Championship.

Koumas also on the Eagles’ radar

Lewis Koumas has been a part of the Liverpool setup since 2016, and he has gone up the ranks at some pace. While he is yet to be promoted to their senior side, the 19-year-old left-winger did bag a goal on his first-team debut. The Reds ended up sending him out on loan to Stoke City to ensure he gets much-needed minutes to continue his development.

The youngster has been involved in 38 matches this season, and he has contributed towards nine goals. More importantly, he has featured all across the frontline while putting in impressive performances on a consistent basis. The Eagles have been tracking his progress and feel he is ready to step up to the Premier League next season.

While Crystal Palace are keen on signing both teenagers, it will be interesting to see if Liverpool are ready to part ways with two of their wonderkids, who could do wonders for the Merseyside outfit in the long run.
