Real Madrid will reportedly look to sign 23-year-old Serbian defender Strahinja Pavlovic from Serie A club AC Milan in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Strahinja Pavlovic is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. The reigning La Liga champions are scouring the market for a centre-back heading into the summer transfer window. So, the 23-year-old AC Milan defender has emerged as a target for Los Blancos.
Strahinja Pavlovic and his career so far
Strahinja Pavlovic has established himself as one of the best young defenders in Serie A since joining AC Milan from Red Bull Salzburg last summer. A native of Sabac, the Serb spent his formative years in his homeland, passing through the academies at three clubs and graduating from the youth division at FK Partizan Belgrade.
The 23-year-old has represented clubs in Serbia, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, and Italy. The latest stint has worked well for Pavlovic, who has been a regular for AC Milan in the last few months, amassing over 1,500 minutes of game time across 22 appearances in all competitions while chipping in with one goal and two assists.
Meanwhile, Pavlovic’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe. Premier League clubs were keen on signing the 43-cap Serbian international in the winter transfer window before the deal failed to see the light of day. Real Madrid might be one of the prospective suitors for the AC Milan defender’s signature in the summer.

Real Madrid’s interest in Strahinja Pavlovic makes sense. The reigning La Liga champions are scouring the market for a centre-back ahead of the summer transfer window amid the advancing years of David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger. Both defenders are on the wrong side of 30. In addition, Eder Militao has suffered two long-term knee injuries in as many seasons.
