Arsenal will reportedly look to sign 18-year-old Brazilian wonderkid Endrick in a deal worth around €60 million in the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Endrick is the subject of interest from Arsenal. The Gunners are scouring the market for a striker heading into the summer transfer window. So, the Real Madrid wonderkid has emerged as a target, with the North London outfit ready to cough up around €60 million to sign the 18-year-old attacking sensation.
Endrick and his career so far
Endrick has had to bide his time since joining Real Madrid from Palmeiras last summer. A native of Taguatinga, the South American attacking prodigy spent most of his formative years thus far in Brazil and graduated from the youth division at Palmeiras. The youngster’s exploits in age-group football in his homeland piqued the attention of several European bigwigs before Real Madrid won the race.
However, regular game time has eluded the 18-year-old attacking sensation at Real Madrid, not even completing 500 minutes of game time across 23 appearances in all competitions. That has not impacted the youngster’s output, as he has chipped in with five goals and one assist.
Meanwhile, the Brazilian international attacker’s lack of game time has piqued the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe. West Ham United attempted to sign the Real Madrid wonderkid in the winter transfer window before the deal failed to see the light of day. Arsenal will aim to beat the competition to his signature in the summer.
London calling?
Arsenal’s interest in Endrick is understandable. The Gunners are scouring the market for a striker heading into the summer transfer window amid Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus’s struggles to remain productive in the final third.
So, several candidates, including Youssef En-Nesyri, have emerged on Arsenal’s radar, with Endrick also a viable target for the North London outfit. The Gunners are ready to cough up €60 million to secure the services of the Real Madrid wonderkid in the summer transfer window.
However, convincing Real Madrid to part ways with the 18-year-old Brazilian international in the summer transfer window will be a tall order. A loan deal might be a likelier move for Arsenal instead of sealing an agreement worth around €60 million.
