Tottenham are keen on acquiring the services of Pablo Barrios, who has been doing wonders for Atletico Madrid since breaking into their first team. According to a report from Fichajes, the North London club are ready to make a massive financial effort to sign him as they are willing to table an offer worth €75 million.
Barrios was a part of the Real Madrid youth ranks before he made the switch to rivals Atletico Madrid back in 2017. After his move to Los Rojiblancos, he went up the ranks at some pace and got promoted to their first team at the start of 2023.
The Spaniard was already an important squad player last season and this time around, he has been a regular feature in their starting XI. The 21-year-old has established himself as a mainstay in Diego Simeone’s team. He has been involved in 25 matches this season. The majority of his appearances have come in his preferred central midfield role, but he is capable enough to feature out wide as well as in a deeper role if needed.
