Manchester City keen on Paulo Dybala

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are considering making a move for the services of AS Roma star Paulo Dybala.

Argentine World Cup winner Paulo Dybala could be subject to a lot of interest next summer as he will be available for a bargain fee thanks to a low release clause in his contract. According to a report from Fichajes, Manchester City see him as an interesting option to reinforce their attack ahead of next season for a minimum fee.

After doing wonders in the Italian top flight for Juventus, Dybala joined Roma in the summer of 2022 on a free transfer. He has featured in a total of 107 matches for his new club and has contributed towards 61 goals.

While he did go through a rough patch, the 31-year-old is back at his best under Claudio Ranieri. He might only have nine goal contributions in his 30 outings but Dybala has been one of the most influential players. His ability to feature anywhere in attack gives their manager a lot of tactical flexibility.

The Argentine international will still have a year left on his deal at Roma next summer but he is still expected to be on the move amidst interest from some of the biggest clubs in Europe. Manchester City are one of the clubs that are interested in signing him.

City want to sign Dybala

City have been going through one of their most difficult seasons and they have identified a few key areas that need to be addressed next season. Despite signing Omar Marmoush in the winter, they will look for more firepower in the summer and Dybala could be an ideal fit for them.

His ability to create as well as score could come in handy. He could provide competition to their forwards and also cover for someone like Kevin De Bruyne who has struggled because of injury. He would easily slot into Guardiola’s system.

When Dybala joined Roma, he managed to include a €12 million release clause in his contract. The bargain clause is one of the major reasons why City are after his signature and they will certainly try to make the most of it. But, could face competition from other top European clubs.
