Joao Felix wants permanent summer move to AC Milan

Joao Felix wants to secure a permanent move to AC Milan next summer after joining them on loan mid-season.

According to Ekrem Konur, Joao Felix has made a decision regarding his future. The Chelsea forward, who recently joined AC Milan on a six-month loan deal, is keen on securing a permanent move to the Italian giants next summer.

Felix made a name for himself at Benfica. He was considered one of the best young forwards in the world when Atletico Madrid broke the bank to sign him. Unfortunately, things did not work out for him under Diego Simeone. After a couple of spells away from the Spanish giants, he secured a permanent move to Chelsea last summer.

While the Blues did fork out a significant fee to acquire his services, they could not hand him enough opportunities during the first half of the 2024/25 season. Despite contributing towards nine goals, he racked up less than 1,000 first-team minutes under Enzo Maresca.

The Portuguese international was frustrated by the lack of minutes and was pushing for a move away from the club. Thanks to the efforts of his agent Jorge Mendes, the 25-year-old forward secured a deadline-day move to AC Milan.

Felix wants to join AC Milan permanently

The Serie A outfit were looking for more creativity in the final third and they managed to strike a deal with the Blues. He has joined them on a straightforward loan spell until the end of the season. Felix is already off to a flying start as he bagged a goal on debut.

The 25-year-old is certainly enjoying life in Milan, and he has already made a decision regarding his long-term future. He wants to secure a permanent move to the Serie A giants next summer after his loan deal expires. While his contract at Stamford Bridge runs until the summer of 2031, he does not seem to be an important part of their plans.

As a result, the Blues should not have any problems sanctioning his departure as long as they get the right price. But, it will be interesting to see if Milan are willing to make the massive financial investment that is needed to sign the 25-year-old.
