Chelsea are preparing a move for Swedish sensation Roony Bardghji amidst interest from rivals Aston Villa, Manchester United and Tottenham.
Roony Bardghji’s sensational rise at FC Copenhagen has not gone unnoticed. His performances along with his massive potential have put him on the radar of multiple English clubs. According to a report from Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Chelsea are working on a deal to sign the teenage attacking sensation.
While the Blues are preparing a move, they are not the only Premier League club who are after his signature as Aston Villa, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on securing his signature.
Bardghji has come up the ranks at the Danish club. He got promoted to their first team at the start of 2022 and has only gone from strength to strength over the years. While he is only 19 years old, the Swedish international has already made quite a name for himself.
The youngster has not featured in the new season as he recovers from an ACL injury. Roony Bardghji is already back in training, and he should be back on the field by the end of the month. While Copenhagen would be delighted to have the teenage sensation back, he might not be around for long as his contract runs out at the end of the year.
The right-winger, who has been dubbed the “Swedish Messi”, is expected to be on the move to a bigger club in the summer. While he could be available for free at the start of 2026, interested clubs are unlikely to wait. They will look to strike a deal for him in the summer.
Premier League giants to battle for Bardghji
With his contract running down, multiple clubs are ready to battle for his signature as Roony Bardghji could be available for a cut-price fee. Chelsea are one of the clubs who are quite keen on acquiring his services. The Blues are constantly on the lookout for young stars with massive potential and Bardghji is a perfect fit for their project.
Chelsea have a long-standing interest in him and are all set to push for his signature in the summer. But, they will face competition from Manchester United, Aston Villa and Tottenham. Spurs want more quality on the right flank, and they have preferred investing in young stars in recent windows.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are expected to undergo massive changes this summer. Ruben Amorim will look to re-structure his attack, and Bardghji is seen as a solid option for the short as well as the long run. While Aston Villa have bolstered their ranks in the short-term by signing Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford on loan, they will be in the market for a quality winger, and the Swedish youth international is quite high on their wishlist.
