Chelsea are reportedly lining up a €50 million offer for in-form Premier League attacker Antoine Semenyo ahead of next summer.
According to Fichajes, Chelsea could make a €50 million offer to sign Antoine Semenyo next summer. The Blues were eager to add another wide attacker during January. They could now consider the in-form Premier League attacker from Bournemouth as a potential option, with the Ghanaian attracting massive interest from many other clubs.
Bournemouth are on course for a European finish should they continue playing in their current form for the remainder of the season. It will be a brilliant proposition to play in one of the continental competitions next season, as Andoni Iraola has revitalised this squad of players.
Antoine Semenyo has been one of the top performers for the Cherries this term and has already attracted massive interest from some of the big Premier League sides. Arsenal was interested, while Liverpool also watched him before the January window, as Bournemouth managed to keep hold of the attacker and many other talents during the winter market.
They may not be as strong in their stance in the summer, as the Cherries might attract massive bids for the Ghanaian attacker. Tottenham is also interested, while Chelsea is now the club eager to make a €50 million offer to test Bournemouth’s resolve on Semenyo.
Chelsea have been looking to strengthen their attacking ranks with a wide attacker, as they might look at Semenyo’s quality and make the bid. The in-form Premier League attacker could play wide as well as centrally, which does give Enzo Maresca plenty of options to play around with, although all eyes will be on Bournemouth’s asking price for the attacker.
Chelsea wants a new wide attacker
The Semenyo links are not surprising, given Chelsea’s constant targeting of some of the best profiles in the market. The in-form Premier League attacker also fits Chelsea’s age criteria, which reportedly prevents Chelsea from signing players over the age of 25. However, he’s not the only name, as they were keen to sign Alejandro Ganracho in the January market.
Chelsea will want to tie up a move for one of their preferred targets, as it remains to be seen whether the reported €50 million bid would be enough to tempt Bournemouth. As for Garnacho, he will undoubtedly be expensive, given the reporting on his price tag over the last month.
