Tottenham learn asking price for Eli Junior Kroupi

Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham will have to fork out £20 million to sign FC Lorient attacking sensation Eli Junior Kroupi.

Despite all their efforts, Tottenham haven’t been able to bring in the needed reinforcements to help them get their season back on track. As we head into the transfer deadline, Spurs are still on the lookout for players who can help their cause.

Eli Junior Kroupi is one of the players they are interested in but they will have to fork out a significant fee to bring him to the North London club. According to a report from Football Insider, Tottenham will have to table an offer of around £20 million to sign the young French striker.

Kroupi has been a part of the FC Lorient setup since his childhood days. He went up the ranks at some pace and got promoted to their first team in the summer of 2023. Despite being just 18, he has managed to establish himself as a key figure in the team and has been in sensational form this season.

The teenage attacking sensation has been involved in a total of 17 Ligue 2 games this season and he has contributed towards 11 goals. His impressive performances have put him on the radar of multiple top clubs who are looking to prise him away from France.

Tottenham keen on signing Kroupi

Tottenham are one of the clubs that are interested in the young forward’s services. They have been monitoring him for a while now and are now looking to add him to their squad before the end of the transfer window.

While he is a key figure in the Lorient first-team, they are open to sanctioning his departure for the right price. The report suggests Spurs will have to fork out £20 million to sign him in this window. With his contract running out in the summer of 2026, the Ligue 2 outfit might eventually have to cash in on him but for now, they are looking to hold onto their demands.

Ange Postecoglou’s team are in desperate need of more firepower in the final third and they do have the funds to get this transfer over the line. But, they can afford that kind of fee for a player who is seen as an investment for the long run. While he has been flying high in the Ligue 2, he is unlikely to have the kind of impact the Australian manager wants from a winter signing with the club struggling in the Premier League.
