Tottenham and West Ham United in contact to sign Noah Okafor

Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United have established contact to sign AC Milan attacker Noah Okafor.

Noah Okafor could end up making the move to the Premier League where Tottenham and West Ham are believed to be interested in his services. According to Gazzetta dello Sport via SportWitness, both London clubs are in contact to sign the AC Milan forward before the end of the transfer window.

On the back of an impressive spell at Red Bull Salzburg, Okafor made the move to the Italian giants in the summer of 2023. He had a decent debut campaign at Milan as he was involved in 36 games and ended up contributing towards nine goals.

The 24-year-old was frustrated with his limited game time, and to his disappointment, nothing has changed this time either. While his contract at Milan runs until the summer of 2028, the Swiss international has been linked with a move away from the club.

The Italian giants are looking to offload fringe players in the final phase of the winter window and Okafor is one of the names on that list. With Milan ready to negotiate his departure, Tottenham and West Ham have emerged as potential destinations.

Okafor could end up moving to London

Reports earlier suggested both London clubs were working hard to secure his services but those talks slowly faded away. While claims went quiet, the Italian club and its agents remain on the lookout for a new club for the forward who can feature anywhere in attack.

Spurs and the Hammers are believed to be back in the mix. They have established contact to sign the 24-year-old as they look to reinforce their attack before the end of the window. Both clubs have suffered quite a few injuries to key players and they would love to have a versatile forward in their squad for the remainder of the campaign.

However, the report suggests it is the player’s camp that is doing the chasing rather than the English clubs. Okafor was on the verge of joining RB Leipzig earlier in the window but the move collapsed because of a medical issue and it might be a concern for another interested club. While Milan were initially looking for a permanent sale, they are now open to a loan move which does make things easier.
