Manchester United reject Como approach for Gabriele Biancheri

Manchester United have reportedly rejected an approach from Como for Gabriele Biancheri to keep him in the academy ranks.

According to Fabrizo Romano, Como have seen Manchester United reject an approach for Gabriele Biancheri. The Premier League giants want to keep the exciting forward in their academy ranks for the time being and aid his development in the youth sides.

Gabriele Biancheri has been developing rapidly in the Manchester United academy ranks. He has earned a reputation for scoring many goals in the youth teams. The youngster has 16 goals in 17 games across all competitions and has also been putting in dazzling performances for Wales’ Under-19 side.

He might not be the first name on the fans’ list, but recent recruit Chido Obi-Martin from Arsenal’s academy is someone the supporters are eagerly waiting to see in action for the first team in the future. Despite the Dane’s rising stature, the Welsh talent is not to be disregarded as an also-ran, as Biancheri has all the talent to make the grade into the first team in the near future.

Manchester United has adopted a new policy of focusing more on youth both internally and in the transfer market, which could give them plenty of opportunities for players like the 18-year-old whizkid. Hence, the Red Devils are eager to keep him in their academy ranks.

Manchester United have since rejected an approach from Como to sign the 18-year-old whizkid, as the Serie A upstart were eager to tie up a deal for the young striker. This is a clear indication that the Red Devils are eager to keep hold of the striker and develop him into a first-team star.

Manchester United could consider Gabriele Biancheri’s loan

Manchester United might have rejected the approach from Como for Biancheri, but they are likely to be open to sending the youngster on loan to gain experience. The pathway to first-team action may be restricted, given the senior side is transitioning under Ruben Amorim.

Hence, it is difficult to see the 18-year-old whizkid making the grade in the coming period, not even in the cup games. So the club could consider sending him out on loan either before the transfer deadline or next summer.

By next summer, Biancheri could reach a stage in his career where he needs to play regularly or at least gain considerable time with a senior side. Should he continue his development as planned, he will attract considerable interest from suitors, either from abroad or within England, from the lower leagues.
