Tottenham could accept a substantial offer for Dejan Kulusevski

Tottenham might be open to accepting substantial offers for Dejan Kulusevski in the summer if the player expressed his desire to leave.

According to Football Insider, Tottenham could be in danger of losing some of their top-rated stars next summer, including Dejan Kulusevski, if they fail to progress. The North Londoners are in a tough position in the league table this season, which could result in players like the Swede expressing a desire to leave.

Tottenham could accept a substantial offer from suitors for Dejan Kulusevski next summer. The decision might be an afterthought of the player’s desire to quit in the first place, as stars like the Swede could feel the need to play in the Champions League.

Not so long ago some clubs back in Italy showed an interest, with AC Milan one of those keen. Napoli were also in the mix, but should the 24-year-old become available, there will be a host of clubs from the Premier League itself interested.

Tottenham are not thinking about selling the 24-year-old imminently, although they will consider big money offers should they arrive. Spurs are currently languishing in the 15th spot after yet another loss, this time to Leicester City, which does make it very difficult for them to achieve a European finish at the end of the season.

They could potentially win the Europa League and directly enter the Champions League league phase next season, but it’s still a long shot. Kulusevski is not pushing for a move at the moment. Still, he could potentially evaluate his future at the club and possibly even think about quitting should the current trend in performances continue.

Tottenham could lose several high-profile stars

Not only Kuylusevski but there are plenty of other high-profile players at risk of leaving Tottenham should they finish outside of those Champions League places. Real Madrid and Manchester City are interested in Pedro Porro, as either of those teams will not be deterred by Spurs; asking price for the right-back.

Similarly, there’s a big danger of losing defensive lynchpin Cristian Romero, with clubs like Real Madrid keeping close tabs on the Argentine. Spurs are ramping up their efforts to agree to a new deal with the Argentine, which will be difficult if they finish the season badly. A host of their top stars, like Kulusevski, Romero and Porro, could end their stay at the club and move along to a club in the Champions League.
