Sverre seriously considering Arsenal move

Sverre Nypan is reportedly eager to join Arsenal, even though the 18-year-old Rosenborg prodigy is also a target for Aston Villa.

According to a report by Give Me Sport, Sverre Nypan is the subject of interest from Arsenal. The Rosenborg prodigy, who dreams of joining Manchester United, is also a target for fellow Premier League outfit Aston Villa. However, the 18-year-old midfield prodigy is keen on moving to the Emirates amid his links with other clubs.

The rising stock of Sverre Nypan

Sverre Nypan is the latest highly-rated prospect to rise in prominence in his homeland. A native of Trondheim, the teenage sensation began his youth career at Nardo FK, spending most of his formative years with the club before joining Rosenborg BK and graduating from the Troillongan’s academy.

Nypan broke into the first-team squad at Rosenborg BK as a 15-year-old and has come leaps and bounds in the last two years. The 18-year-old midfield sensation has already turned out over 50 times thus far for Rosenborg BK while chipping in with 13 goals and 11 assists. Meanwhile, the youngster’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of Premier League clubs like Arsenal and Aston Villa.

A man in demand

In addition, the teenager has gone on record to say that he dreams of joining Manchester United. However, the Norwegian youth international will unlikely move to Old Trafford, with the Red Devils halting their move for the player. So, Manchester United’s decision has boosted the prospects of Arsenal and Aston Villa.

Aston Villa’s interest in Sverre Nypan is understandable. The teenage sensation can be a top-notch addition to the midfield unit at the West Midlands club. In addition, the youngster can play as a striker and an attacking midfielder, making him an attractive target for Aston Villa.

However, Aston Villa might lose the race to secure Nypan’s services, with the player “seriously considering” moving to Arsenal. The Gunners have recently advanced talks to sign the Rosenborg BK wonderkid, and he can be a long-term replacement for Jorginho and Thomas Partey amid uncertainties surrounding the duo’s future.

With Nypan keen on joining Arsenal and his dream club, Manchester United, not launching the offensive, a move to the Emirates is on the cards for the 18-year-old Norwegian prodigy.
