Axel Disasi agrees personal terms with Aston Villa

Aston Villa have agreed on personal terms with Axel Disasi as they could be getting closer to finding an agreement with Chelsea on a loan deal.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Aston Villa and Axel Disasi have agreed on personal terms, as a deal could be getting clsoer with Chelsea. Unai Emery’s side have been looking to reinforce their backline and could see the value in signing the Frenchman on a loan deal for the remainder of the season.

Aston Villa’s search for defensive reinforcements could bear fruit as they might be closing in on the signing of Axel Disasi from Chelsea. Unai Emery’s side let go of Diego Carlos earlier in the window to Fenerbahce, and since then, they have tried to target other players in the market.

Loic Bade was a key target, but despite reports stating Aston Villa had a deal in place with Sevilla, the player’s desire to stay may have been the reason for abandoning the deal for the Frenchman. As things stand, there’s another Frenchman in their sights, as Aston Villa then considered a loan move for Axel Disasi

Disasi has been out of bounds at Chelsea as Enzo Maresca has only chosen him occasionally and not as a regular on his side. Hence, there’s a feeling the Blues might be open to letting the player leave, even on loan, which does give Aston Villa a boost in the chase.

As things stand, the 26-year-old has agreed on persnal terms with Aston Villa, as the Birmingham-based club could now find an agreement with Chelsea. Fabrizio Romano had earlier stated the Blues were open to letting Disasi join Emery’s side as long as the deal comes with a decent loan fee.

Aston Villa to land defensive targets

As Aston Villa close in on Disasi, they are not done with defensive reinforcements, as Emery wants another player in the right-back slot. After chasing several names from La Liga, the club might have narrowed down on Juan Foyth after Aston Villa made an offer for the Villarreal star

Foyth is a player known to excel under Emery during their time together at Villarreal, and he could join Disasi as the two defensive names coming to the club this winter. The Frenchman was considered a big name in France during his stint at Monaco and could revive his career under Emery at Aston Villa.
