Aston Villa enter Matheus Cunha chase

Aston Villa will reportedly compete with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United to sign 25-year-old Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

According to a report by Daily Mail, Matheus Cunha is the subject of interest from Aston Villa. The Villans are scouring the market for a striker amid uncertainties surrounding Jhon Duran’s future. So, the Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker has emerged as a target. Meanwhile, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United are also keen on signing the Brazilian international.

Matheus Cunha has seen his stock skyrocket since joining Wolverhampton Wanderers from Atletico Madrid. The Black Country outfit initially signed the South American attacker on loan in January 2023 before completing a permanent move in the subsequent summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old has been excellent thus far this season, contributing to 14 goals in 21 Premier League games by finding the back of the net ten times and providing four assists. However, Cunha faces an uncertain future at Molineux is uncertain amid Wolverhampton Wanderers’ relegation battle. The situation has piqued the attention of high-profile clubs like Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, and Manchester United.

Recent reports have suggested that Arsenal will go all out to sign the Brazilian international this month.
