Kyle Walker agrees personal terms with AC Milan, talks in final stages

AC Milan are closing in on the signature of veteran Manchester City star Kyle Walker as personal terms have been agreed.

Manchester City have been working very hard to reinforce their squad in the ongoing transfer window. While all the talk has been about the players they are looking to add to their ranks, the Premier League giants are all set to part ways with one of their defensive stalwarts Kyle Walker.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the English international has agreed on personal terms with AC Milan, and the Serie A outfit are preparing for his arrival in the coming days. Both clubs are discussing the final details of a loan deal following which the move will be made official.

Walker has done wonders for Manchester City since joining them from Tottenham in the summer of 2017. He has been a key part of all the success they have had in the recent past. The 34-year-old has excelled as a right-back as well as in a central role when needed.

While he still remains an important part of Pep Guardiola’s plans, the English full-back has asked for a change in scenery. Kyle Walker informed the manager and people at the club that he wanted to try a new challenge in the final years of his career. Manchester City have decided to let him leave mid-season as a sign of respect for all that he has done for them over the years.

AC Milan are on the verge of signing Walker

There are quite a few clubs that want to acquire his services, but AC Milan are the ones who have been quite serious since the start. They seek more experience and quality at the back and feel Kyle Walker could do wonders for them.

Despite his age, they feel his versatility could come in handy. The Serie A giants have been in negotiations with Manchester City for some time and they are finally within touching distance of acquiring his services. The Rossoneri have started planning for the arrival of the 34-year-old as an agreement on personal terms is now in place.

Formal steps and medical of Walker are expected to take place on Tuesday or Wednesday. The Englishman wants the move, and he has already given his greenlight. The two clubs remain in negotiation as they look to finalise the loan deal.
