Chelsea learn asking price for Yeremay Hernandez

Chelsea may have to pay a fee close to Yeremay Hernandez’s release clause, as Arsenal and Aston Villa also admire the Spanish winger.

According to Caught Offside, Chelsea have learnt Yeremay Hernandez’ asking price as the Spanish winger may cost close to €20 million. The figure represents a release clause in his contract at Deportivo La Coruna, as the Segunda club wants a fee close to that sum, with Arsenal and Aston Villa also among the admirers.

Chelsea are set to operate in the transfer market in their way, as they are intent on adding more attacking talents to the mix. The Blues are not about to shuffle the pack up front, but they will continue to target some of the best young profiles from around.

One of them appears to be Deportivo La Coruna’s Yeremay Hernandez, with the winger certainly impressing with his displays in the Spanish Segunda division. He has a long-term deal with his club with a €20 million release clause written in the contract, something the Spanish side wanted from suitors to sell Hernandez

However, Deportivo does not seem adamant about achieving the entire €20 million release clause and instead wants a fee closer to that figure. Chelsea had made an offer for Hernandez, which, as per the report, is around €8.5 million, which does not interest Deportivo.

Chelsea’s stance on the 22-year-old Spaniard seems unclear, although their bid does make their intent pretty certain. The Blues were hoping for Deportivo to accept their offer, and whether they return with an improved bid in the coming period remains to be seen.

Arsenal, Aston Villa intersted in Yeremay Hernandez

Arsenal is one of the clubs interested in Hernandez, as Mikel Arteta wants to add some young attackers to his squad. There are some concerns on the left wing as of now, as the Spanish boss probably is looking at the 22-year-old as an option. The Gunners and Aston Villa were among those present to watch the winger in at least two games for Deportivo, and they were reportedly impressed by his displays.

Aston Villa are active in adding some bright young players to the mix, and have already added Donyell Malen to the mix this month. They have also allowed Jaden Philogene to depart six months after his arrival and may be looking at Hernandez as a potential replacement for the Ipswich Town-bound wide man.
