Alejandro Garnacho is not thought to be pushing for an immediate exit from Manchester United this month amid mounting interest in his signature.
According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Alejandro Garnacho’s immediate future could be with Manchester United, with the Argentine forward not pushing for an exit this month. The winger has attracted big interest from clubs like Chelsea, Napoli and Atletico Madrid, with the Red Devils reportedly demanding at least £70 million.
Since Ruben Amorim’s arrival at Manchester United, the Portuguese manager has made some drastic changes to the usage of certain players. Some of those have gone from being first-choice starters to secondary impact players, with Alejandro Garnacho firmly in that camp at the moment.
Garnacho’s future has come under the spotlight following an enquiry from Chelsea on Friday, which has put the focus on Manchester United and their stance on the winger. The Red Devils are reportedly demanding at least £70 million, and if they can get that price from an interested party, a sale could be on the cards.
Napoli are also keen, with some suggestions that Alejandro Garnacho is open to the move. Antonio Conte has identified the £70 million-rated Manchester United whizkid as the ideal replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who is inching closer to joining PSG in the coming days. As things stand, the Red Devils have rejected a bid from Napoli, although there is every chance for them to return with an improved offer.
Former side Atletico Madrid are also interested, with Diego Simeone knowing the player while he was in the youth ranks of the Spanish side. In any case, the La Liga leaders are not looking for an immediate transfer, and the idea with Garnacho is designed more for the summer.
Garnacho is not pushing for Manchester United exit
Despite all the attention in the market, Alejandro Garnacho is not thought to be pushing for an immediate exit from the club. He might be open-minded about fighting for his place and staking a claim in the squad as a regular starter rather than a bench warmer.
While reports have suggested his openness about joining Napoli, his immediate preference might lean towards staying at Manchester United. It still does not rule out the possibility of an exit, although for that to happen, interested clubs might have to pay the Argentine’s £70 million asking price.
