Chelsea rekindle interest in Karim Adeyemi

Chelsea are reportedly keen on signing 22-year-old German international Karim Adeyemi from Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Chelsea have now resurrected their interest in German international Karim Adeyemi. The Borussia Dortmund attacker has been linked with Chelsea in the past as well.

The 22-year-old has 10 goal contributions in only 11 games this season, and he could prove to be a useful acquisition for Chelsea. They need to add more quality and depth, especially in the final third. Adeyemi is capable of operating as a centre-forward as well as a winger. He will add goals and creativity to the side. His ability to slot into multiple roles will be a bonus.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea come forward with an offer to sign the player before the window closes. Borussia Dortmund might not want to lose an important first-team player like Karim Adeyemi any time soon. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.

Chelsea are one of the clubs in the world, and the German could easily be tempted to join them. The German international will want to compete at the highest level, and the Blues could provide him with that platform.

Chelsea have done quite well this season, and they are fighting for UEFA Champions League qualification. The West London outfit will be hoping to fight for trophies next season and they need quality players at their disposal. Signing a quality attacker like Adeyemi would be a wise decision.

Chelsea need more attacking depth

The Blues have been overly dependent on Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer in the final third. They need more options at their disposal. Adeyemi could share the goalscoring and creative burden with them if he joins the club. He has the physicality and technical attributes to do well in the Premier League, and he will look to establish himself as a key player for Chelsea if the transfer goes through.

It will be interesting to see if Chelsea can negotiate a reasonable deal for the player. The Blues have the financial resources to get the deal across the line, and it remains to be seen whether they can convince the player to join them.
