Carney Chukwuemeka not interested in RC Strasbourg move, Chelsea open to loan exit

Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka has been linked with a move away from the West London club this month.

Carney Chukwuemeka needs to leave Chelsea to play regularly, and Ligue 1 outfit RC Strasbourg are reportedly keen on him. According to The Guardian, the English midfield prospect is not keen on a move to the French outfit and remains to be seen how the situation develops.

Meanwhile, Ben Jacobs has claimed that Chelsea are ready to send him out on loan so that he can gain regular first-team experience, even though they hope to recoup £40 million from his sale. He has been linked with Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund as well.

The 21-year-old needs to play regularly to get his career back on track, and RC Strasbourg would have been able to provide him with that platform. However, the Ligue 1 outfit have not been able to convince Carney Chukwuemeka to join them, and it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds. Sitting on the bench at Chelsea is unlikely to benefit him, and Chukwuemeka needs to sort out his short-term future quickly.

Chukwumeka needs to play regularly

Carney Chukwuemeka is highly rated across England, and he has a bright future ahead of himself. He will want to establish himself as a regular starter for Chelsea. The Englishman cannot hope to do so by sitting on the bench during the second half of the season. Going out on loan would be ideal for him.

If the English midfielder manages to impress during his loan spell, he will have a better chance of forcing his way into the first-team plans at Stamford Bridge next season. Alternatively, Chelsea could look to sell him for a substantial amount of money in the summer if he manages to improve his market value with impressive performances during his loan spell.

It will be interesting to see if other clubs are willing to come forward and provide him with an exit route in the coming weeks. It is evident that he is not keen on a move to France. Perhaps a move to Germany with Dortmund would be ideal for him. The Black and Yellows have a proven track record of nurturing young players, and they could help the Chelsea prospect improve.
