Sporting CP’s Conrad Harder is emerging on the list of Premier League sides in this window as Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham show interest.
According to TBR, Arsenal, Chelsea, and West Ham are interested in exploring a move for Sporting CP’s Conrad Harder. The striker has been developing at a rapid rate at the Portuguese club, which has the Premier League trio considering him as a target this month.
The media reports are busy tracking a certain Viktor Gyokeres’ movements away from Sporting CP, and whether or not he will leave for the bigger side this month. Bayern Munich and Manchester United are the latest to show an interest in the Swede. Still, there’s another Scandinavian striker in the ranks of Sporting CP that has been garnering interest from some of the big clubs.
Conrad Harder continues to make a mark for himself with his limited performances for Sporting CP this season. He has already featured on the shortlist of a few Premier League sides. The Dane, who was reportedly signed in the scenario that Gyokeres left, and the Portuguese side were delighted to have them both in their ranks.
Harder may not have regular starts or even prolific numbers like Gyokeres, but he has already shown promising signs of becoming one of the top marksmen in the game. His current deal with the club lasts until 2029, with a release clause of €80 million attached to the deal. However, the report states the Dane could be signed for £42 million in this month’s window.
Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham are credited with an interest, as all those London-based sides are eager to add a young striker to their squad. The Hammers had seen links to Evan Ferguson, although signing the Brighton man permanently will be a challenge, which is why reports indicated a potential loan move. Harder is seen in the same light, as the London outfit wants a young striker in their ranks.
Arsenal and Chelsea could explore Conrad Harder move
Arsenal have been meaning to add a young striker last summer, with Benjamin Sesko being their main target. Despite the Slovenian’s preference to stay at RB Leipzig, he remains a player on the Gunners’ radar for the future, possibly even for this window. Harder has shown similar promise with his limited game time, although there are doubts whether the north Londoners will invest as much in the £42 million-rated striker.
Chelsea have been willing to add another striker in their attacking pool, as there’s a severe lack of competition for Nicolas Jackson. They have shown plenty of ambition in the past in investing in young potential, which does make them one of the favourites to land Harder if they are to pursue a move for the £42 million-rated striker.
