Eintracht Frankfurt open to Omar Marmoush sale this month

Eintracht Frankfurt are open to selling Omar Marmoush in this transfer window, with Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool keeping tabs.

According to Give Me Sport, Omar Marmoush could be heading to the Premier League before the deadline for the current window, as Eintracht Frankfurt are open to selling the Egyptian attacker. Manchester City are considered among those in the front seat for the forward, although there is competition from the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool.

Omar Marmoush is having an incredible season with Eintracht Frankfurt, with the forward showing a level of completeness in the attacking third. The Egyptian has 18 goals and 12 assists in all competition, although those have not helped Frankfurt mount a credible challenge for the Bundesliga title.

In fact, Frankfurt are considering a sale of the forward should an interested club meet their £50 million demand. One might assume that letting the Egyptian leave will certainly weaken the German side. However, there is an inclination towards maximising his market value at this moment, which will see Die Adler open their doors for the sale.

There is sufficient interest coming from Arsenal and Liverpool in the Premier League, although there might be conditions from either side. For Liverpool, it might be the case of one in and one out, with the future of Darwin Nunez in major doubt, as Marmoush will be seen as a replacement of sorts for the Uruguayan.

As for Arsenal, they are lacking in the attack and do need a goalscoring forward to improve their chances of competing on all fronts this season. The £50 million-rated Bundesliga forward does fall within their range and spending power this month, although for now, Manchester City are ahead in the race for Omar Marmoush.

Manchester City front-runners for Marmoush?

Manchester City have reportedly made an approach to open the doors to bring Marmoush to the Etihad. No deal has been finalised yet, although the widespread suggestions point towards the club being open to paying what is necessary to land the Eintracht Frankfurt star.

Manchester City have also lacked in their game this season, as the goalscoring burden has fallen on Erling Haaland’s shoulders. The big issue at the club is to bring in a viable replacement for Julian Alvarez, who left last summer, and Marmoush could be seen as the secondary forward that Pep Guardiola likes to use in his system.
