Borussia Dortmund eyeing Carney Chukwuemeka move, price too high

Borussia Dortmund are keen on signing the Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka.

According to journalist Patrick Berger, the Bundesliga giants are hoping to sign 21-year-old Chelsea midfielder Carnet Chukwuemeka. However, the Blues are demanding a fee of around €40-45 million for him. The German club could be priced out of a move for the player if the Blues do not lower their asking price.

The midfielder has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and he needs to leave in search of regular playing time. He will not be able to secure ample first-team action at the London club and a move to Germany could be ideal. He has been linked with Napoli as well.

Dortmund have done well to nurture several young players over the years and they could help the 21-year-old Chelsea midfielder improve further. Regular football in Germany could accelerate his development as well.

Chukwuemeka is highly rated across England and he has a bright future ahead of himself. He could develop into a future star with the right guidance. However, he cannot afford to continue to sit on the bench at Chelsea. He needs to move on and focus on his development.

Dortmund move could be ideal for Chukwuemeka

Dortmund have a competitive squad and they are one of the biggest clubs in Germany. They could provide you with the platform to push for trophies as well.

It will be interesting to see if Chelsea are willing to be more reasonable with their demands. They will not be able to provide the midfielder with the opportunities he needs and therefore they should look to cash in on him. It remains to be seen how the situation develops.

Chelsea could use more quality and depth in the midfield as well and selling the talented young midfielder will boost their transfer coffers and help them bring in quality signings.

The 21-year-old is a prodigious young talent and he needs to focus on his development. Enzo Maresca clearly does not fancy him as a key part of his plans, and if a permanent exit cannot be secured this month, the midfielder should look to live on loan so that he can improve with regular gametime.
