However, the Blues are demanding a fee of around €40-45 million for him. The German club could be priced out of a move for the player if the Blues do not lower their asking price.
The midfielder has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and he needs to leave in search of regular playing time. He will not be able to secure ample first-team action at the London club and a move to Germany could be ideal. He has been linked with Napoli as well.
