Everton step up interest in Tom Fellows

Everton will reportedly look to sign 21-year-old English midfielder Tom Fellows from EFL Championship club West Bromwich Albion this month.

According to a report by Football Insider, Tom Fellows is the subject of interest from Everton. The Toffees have been looking to reinforce their wide options heading into the winter transfer window. So, the West Bromwich Albion prospect has emerged as a target for the Merseyside outfit, with the EFL Championship demanding around £15-20 million to part ways with the 21-year-old.

Who is Tom Fellows?

Tom Fellows has been one of the brightest young prospects in the EFL Championship in recent seasons. A native of Solihull, the Englishman spent his formative year with West Bromwich Albion, joining the Baggies at the under-10 level before rapidly progressing through the ranks at the club.

Fellows broke into the first-team squad at the Hawthorns as an 18-year-old in August 2021. However, the youngster needed a loan spell with Crawley Town before establishing a foothold in the first-team squad at West Bromwich Albion. Fellows has enjoyed an exceptional 2024/25 season thus far.

The highly-rated wide player has contributed to 11 goals in 25 EFL Championship appearances thus far this season by finding the back of the net one goal and providing ten assists. Meanwhile, the English midfield prospect’s progress at West Brom has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several well-known Premier League clubs, including Everton.

Premier League move on the horizon?

Everton mulled over signing Tom Fellows in the winter transfer window last year before the deal failed to see the light of day. The continued interest in the Solihull native is understandable, considering Sean Dyche wants more creative options on the flanks heading into the second half of the 2024/25 season.

So, several candidates, including Hakim Ziyech, have emerged on Everton’s radar, with Fellows emerging as a viable target. Meanwhile, West Bromwich Albion rejected a bid worth £10 million from Southampton in the summer transfer window. However, the Baggies want nearly double to part ways with the youngster, slapping a price tag of £15-20 million on him.

Considering Fellows’s importance to West Brom, it is understandable why they want around £15-20 million to part ways with him this month. It will be interesting to see if the Toffees meet the EFL Championship club’s valuation to land the 21-year-old English prospect.
