Juventus rule out Marcus Rashford move, prefer Joshua Zirkzee

Juventus are not interested in a move for Marcus Rashford; instead, they would prefer to sign underperforming striker Joshua Zirkzee.

According to Fichajes, Marcus Rashford may not be a player of interest for Juventus ahead of the January transfer window. The Bianconeri are instead interested in a potential move for underperforming summer signing Joshua Zirkzee, as the Dutchman might be a preference of manager Thiago Motta.

Marcus Rashford’s future is all but over at Manchester United, as the chances of the attacker playing again at Old Trafford look slim. The winger publicly opened up on his desire to leave the club as soon as possible, which has opened the possibility of an immediate sale ahead of the January window.

Manchester United are aware of the problems in selling Rashford immediately given their asking price as well as the player’s salary demands. There is a wider expectation that the 27-year-old under-fire teammate will certainly demand wages in excess of £300,000 per week, which might rule out a few interested parties.

One of them could be Juventus, who are not in a position to pay as much for the 27-year-old under-fire teammate. There were rumours of an exchange deal involving Dusan Vlahovic, although that might have been rumours generated in the media.

The Bianconeri are not keen on Rashford, as the under-fire attacker might have to find a different solution in the market as he is likely to push for a Manchester United exit. Juventus are instead interested in 2024 summer signing Joshua Zirkzee, as the Dutch striker’s future has come under a cloud.

Juventus to sign Joshua Zirkzee?

Thiago Motta is the driving force behind the idea of bringing Joshua Zirkzee to Juventus, as the club are reportedly open to paying big to land the Dutchman. The 2024 summer signing has not yet hit the ground running at Old Trafford, which has sparked rumours of an imminent exit in the January window.

With the change of system coming through at Manchester United under Ruben Amorim, there are doubts that the attacker may not fit into the long-term view. Hence, he might even look at the idea of returning to Italy, and playing under his former Bologna boss to start afresh in Turin.
