Napoli have entered the chase for Ayden Heaven, who could leave Arsenal on a free transfer next summer, as Liverpool and Manchester City are also keen.
According to Fichajes, the list of suitors chasing 18-year-old Arsenal defensive sensation Ayden Heaven continues to rise. Napoli is the latest to express an interest in the defender, whxo could leave Arsenal on a free transfer next summer, with Manchester City and Liverpool also in the race.
Arsenal have produced some solid prospects out of their Hale End academy, with two of those already making it into the first team. The likes of Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri are fixed members of the senior group, while a few others are already knocking on the door.
The Gunners are fighting hard in the background to retain one of those impressive youngsters for the long haul, as Ayden Heaven’s future is causing some tensions at the club. Mikel Arteta clearly rates the teenage defender, and has regularly used him during pre-season and even took him to several matchdays as part of the squad.
The 18-year-old Arsenal defensive sensation’s contract ends next summer, which has prompted the interest of many clubs to sign him on a free transfer. There will be a compensation fee owed to Arsenal should he leave, but that is something the interested clubs are willing to take up should they get the opportunity with Ayden Heaven.
As per Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are keen to sign him on a long term deal, although there’s the danger of losing him considering the level of clubs keen. Manchester City are keeping close tabs on his situation as they are known to snap up the best young profiles from around. Liverpool are also keen, with the Merseysiders eager to develop a top-notch defensive talent as Heaven fits their criteria.
Napoli to compete for Ayden Heaven
Romano has insisted that Borussia Dortmund and Ajax are among the clubs interested, but there is the entry of Napoli in the picture. Antonio Conte is known to develop some of the best defenders in the game, and Heaven will be seen as an opportunity for the Serie A side.
The idea of signing him on a free transfer is certainly enticing enough, but it will be curious to watch whether the teenager opts to leave England so soon. Arsenal are currently the favourite to retain him, although if they fail to put together a good enough pathway, the chances of his departure will increase.
