Manchester United have received a massive boost in their pursuit of Liverpool and Chelsea target Patrick Dorgu.
According to a report from GiveMeSport, Patrick Dorgu could be attracted by the idea of playing for Manchester United. The Premier League giants are keen on his signature and they have been handed a boost in their pursuit as the Lecce star will find it difficult to turn down a potential move to Old Trafford in January.
Dorgu made the move to the Italian club in the summer of 2022 on the back of his impressive rise at Danish club Nordsjaelland. While he initially joined Lecce on a season-long loan and was a part of their Under-19 setup, the move became permanent in the summer of 2023 and he even got promoted to the first team.
He has made quite a name for himself with his performances for the Italian outfit. The 20-year-old’s ability to feature on either flank as a full-back as well as a winger makes him a special talent. He has already broken into the Danish first team and could soon secure a move to a much bigger club.
While Lecce are in a very comfortable situation with regard to his future as his contract runs until 2029, they are ready to listen to offers for the versatile star. They will entertain offers close to £30 million during the upcoming transfer window. If the conditions and the structure meet their requirements, they could allow Dorgu to leave on a new adventure.
Liverpool and Chelsea are two Premier League clubs that have been scouting the Danish international. Both clubs are constantly on the lookout for players who can help them in the long run and Dorgu certainly can. His ability to feature in attack as well as defence will make him a great signing for both clubs that are currently involved in the title race.
