Barcelona, Crystal Palace and Newcastle have received a boost in their pursuit of Mykhailo Mudryk as Chelsea are ready to sell in January.
According to a report from CaughtOffside, Chelsea are ready to part ways with Mykhailo Mudryk in the upcoming transfer window. The Ukrainian international hasn’t been able to establish himself in the Blues’ first-team and they have decided to recoup a part of what they have invested in signing him.
Despite his inconsistent performances, there is no shortage of interest in the 23-year-old winger. Premier League clubs Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are keen on his signature while Barcelona are also considering making a move for him.
Mudryk came up the ranks at Shakhtar Donetsk and made quite a name for himself while playing for their first team before making the move to Stamford Bridge at the start of 2023. He was considered to be one of the best young talents in the world of football and the Blues forked out a fortune to acquire his services.
Unfortunately, he hasn’t lived up to the expectations. Despite getting a lot of opportunities, Mudryk hasn’t been able to cement his spot as one of their starters. While Enzo Maresca has handed him quite a few opportunities since taking charge in the summer, the Ukrainian international is not a preferred option at the London club.
While he has contributed towards eight goals this season and his contract runs until the summer of 2031, his future isn’t certain. The Blues have been considering cashing in on him. They are ready to listen to offers for his services in the upcoming transfer window.
Mudryk could leave Chelsea in January
Chelsea are ready to let him leave on loan amidst interest from Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Barcelona. While they are also open to a permanent transfer, a temporary departure seems the most likely outcome at this stage. The Blues have informed the interested clubs about his availability.
Mudryk’s availability has put all three clubs on red alert and they could knock on the doors of the London club in January. The Magpies seem to be the most interested club at this point. Eddie Howe wants to add more quality on the flanks and is believed to be a big fan of the 23-year-old.
The Tyneside club could soon open talks to sign the Chelsea star as they look to make up for a quiet summer. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are also keen on his signature as they seek more firepower in the final third. While Barcelona do not have the best financial situation, they are also considering offering Mudryk an opportunity to revive his career at the very highest level.
