Liverpool and Tottenham send scouts to watch Georgiy Sudakov

Liverpool and Tottenham have watched Georgiy Sudakov during the week as interest in the Shakhtar Donetsk attacking midfielder ramps up.

According to TBR, Liverpool and Tottenham had scouts watching Georgiy Sudakov in action in midweek. The attacking midfielder has come in demand with some of the top Premier League sides chasing his signature, with Shakhtar Donetsk willing to sell for £50 million.

Shakhtar Donetsk might have found their next big sale prospect in the form of Georegiy Sudakov. The Ukrainian attacking midfielder has over some time, as a large number of Premier League clubs are looking into the idea of bringing him in January.

Sudakov, an attacking midfielder by trade, has a profile that some of these top teams require. Shakhtar is targeting a sale price of £50 million ahead of January. Budgets of these big clubs have been restricted over the last few years during the winter market, and it remains to be seen whether they can afford the Ukrainian.

Chelsea and Arsenal are in the mix, with the player reportedly eager to move to England. The London duo are not alone, although they might represent the best possible options in the English capital. The Blues might have the kind of finance to bring him, although the Gunners might prioritise a player in another position; as for now, they are well stocked in the attacking midfield position.

Manchester City have also considered Sudakov recently, although their interest is not regarded as concrete at this stage. He will still be a player on their radar, as time will tell if Pep Guardiola would like him on board. Meanwhile, Liverpool and Tottenham are in the mix as well, with scouts from both teams watching the attacking midfielder closely this week.

Liverpool and Tottenham watch Sudakov

Sudakov was in action for Shakhtar during the week they narrowly lost out to PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League. Tottenham have been interested before and took the opportunity this week to watch the player closely in action.

Liverpool had also watched him before and scouted the player once again, as Arne Slot might consider strengthening the attacking midfield area. The Dutch manager is not completely convinced of the qualities that Dominik Szoboszlai offers in this team and could view the £50 million-rated midfielder as someone who could improve the side and aid their title push in the second half of the campaign.
