Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Aston Villa scouting Lennon Miller ahead of potential move

At least three big Premier League sides are chasing the signature of Motherwell’s teenage midfielder Lennon Miller next summer.

According to Football Insider, Lennon Miller has continued to attract interest from a host of top Premier League sides. A summer move away from Motherwell could be on the cards for the exciting teenage midfielder, as Liverpool, Manchester United, Aston Villa and Chelsea are those chasing him.

Premier League sides are always alert to the prospect of signing a top young talent from other leagues or clubs. There’s a growing emphasis on youth signings that has grown exponentially over the last few years, and there’s a big competition brewing in the background between the big clubs in this aspect.

The influence of PSR over the last few seasons has now made clubs work harder to develop academy talents. Many top teams are looking at the idea of developing and then selling them to balance their books for the future.

Aston Villa, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Chelsea have been very active in the youth markets and are actively looking for players who are closer to breaking into the first team. They have collectively set sights on Scottish teenage talent Lennon Miller, as the 18-year-old could be looking at an exit from Motherwell next summer.

Tottenham were keen ahead of the summer but chose to invest in other players like Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall back then. Should they plan on entering the race again, they will now find plenty of their domestic rivals in the hunt, which does make the chase for the teenager rather interesting.

Miller to wait until the summer before leaving Motherwell

Motherwell would ideally want to keep Miller for the long haul, But they will know the challenges in light of Premier League interest. In the 18-year-old midfielder’s case, Celtic are also in the hunt. Still, the Scottish champions may concede a defeat, considering Aston Villa, Liverpool, Manchester United, or Chelsea could have a lure for the teenage midfielder.

While it might be tempting enough to join the likes of Aston Villa, Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea sooner rather than later, Miller might stay patient and only leave in the summer. He will know the risk of leaving his current development at Motherwell prematurely, as his talent will continue to attract big interest in the near future.
