Tottenham keen on Jadon Sancho move

Tottenham close to securing priority option for future Johnny Cardoso deal.

Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham are interested in signing Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho who is currently on loan at Chelsea.

According to a report from Fichajes, Tottenham are keeping a close eye on Jadon Sancho’s situation and they could make a move to sign him in the near future. The English international is unlikely to continue at Chelsea as he has only had limited game time during his loan spell and Manchester United seem to be open to offers for his services.

After a public fall-out with Erik ten Hag, Sancho had an impressive loan spell at his former club Borussia Dortmund in the second half of last season. While he was back at Manchester United during the summer, the Dutch manager wasn’t ready to make him a part of his plans. As a result, he ended up joining Chelsea on loan.

Sancho had an exceptional start to life at Stamford Bridge as he bagged an assist in his first three league outings. Despite that, he hasn’t had a prominent role in the team and Enzo Maresca has preferred other options ahead of him.

He has only had just over 300 minutes of first-team action this season and he is unlikely to continue at the London club beyond this season. With his contract at United running out in the summer of 2026, he will most likely seek a permanent move next summer.

Sancho could end up joining Tottenham

The Red Devils are ready to listen to offers for the English international. While his struggles in the Premier League continue, there is still no shortage of interest in him. Tottenham are one of the clubs who are interested in the 24-year-old and they could bet on him.

The North London club seek more firepower on the flanks and they could look at Sancho as an ideal long-term replacement for Son Heung-min who is in the twilight of his career. He could be just the perfect fit for Postecoglou’s system which has a lot of focus on speed and all-out attacking.

A move to Spurs could give him a more prominent role and he could finally showcase his true potential in the English top flight. While Tottenham are keen, any deal won’t be that straightforward as Chelsea have a buy obligation with conditions and United’s new boss Ruben Amorim might also have a say on his future.
