Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are plotting a raid of UD Las Palmas for the services of their attacking sensation Alberto Moleiro.
Alberto Moleiro’s impressive rise hasn’t gone unnoticed. The Spanish youth international finds himself on the wishlist of multiple top clubs from across Europe and according to a report from Fichajes, Arsenal are considering making a move for his service.
Moleiro has been a part of the Las Palmas setup since the summer of 2018. He went up the ranks at some pace and got promoted to their first team back in 2021. He has been a regular feature in their first team for a while now and already has over 120 appearances for the senior side.
The young attacking midfielder has been one of the first names on their team sheet. He has featured in all 13 of their league games and even has four goals to his name. His vision, creativity, and technique, along with his immense potential, have put him on the radar of some of the biggest clubs in Europe.
Arsenal could sign Moleiro in 2025
Multiple top clubs have been closely monitoring him for a while now and Arsenal are one of them. The Gunners are looking to add more quality to their attack and they are interested in signing the youngster. Moleiro can provide cover for their skipper Martin Ødegaard and can even feature on the left flank when needed.
The North London are known to back young talents and Moleiro could find the ideal conditions to take his game to the next level at Arsenal under Mikel Arteta. The 21-year-old’s technical profile perfectly fits into Arteta’s system and he is keen on adding him to their ranks.
While Las Palmas would love to keep him in their ranks, they will most likely listen to offers for him next summer as his contract runs out in 2026. Moleiro is unlikely to sign a new deal and with just a year left on his contract, Las Palmas will look to cash in on him. Arsenal will have the perfect opportunity to sign him for a much fee lower than his €60 million release clause.
