Tottenham line up Jack Grealish swoop, face uphill battle to land him

Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish has been linked with a move away from the Premier League club in recent weeks.

The performances of Jack Grealish have been rather underwhelming, and Manchester City would be willing to sanction his departure. According to a report by Give Me Sport, Tottenham are lining up a move for the 29-year-old, but they face an uphill battle to get the deal done.

The player earns £300,000-a-week wages at Manchester City, and he will demand a substantial salary at Tottenham as well. The North London club will have to make him their highest earner if they want to get the deal done.

It seems highly unlikely that Tottenham will sanction such a deal. It could upset the balance of the dressing room, and the English international has not been able to justify premium wages in recent seasons either.

Tottenham move would be ideal for Grealish

Jack Grealish needs a fresh start to get his career back on track, and a move to Tottenham could be ideal for him. He should look to take a pay cut and join the North London club in the coming weeks. The 29-year-old has struggled for regular game time at Manchester City, and he could be a useful acquisition for Tottenham.

The Englishman is capable of slotting into the attacking midfield role as well as that of the winger. He will add goals and creativity to the Tottenham attack. Furthermore, regular football at the North London club could help him regain his top form. Grealish was one of the best players in the league during his time at Aston Villa, and he will want to get back to that level once again.

The 29-year-old is still very much at the peak of his powers, and he will look to regain his top form soon. It will be interesting to see if Spurs decide to make a move for Jack Grealish when the transfer window reopens in January.

The North London club need more quality and depth in the final third, but they cannot afford to pay premium wages for the player. Grealish will have to accept reasonable wages for the move to go through.
