Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal reportedly remain interested in securing the services of West Ham United mainstay Mohammed Kudus.
According to a report from Football Insider, Mohammed Kudus remains on the wishlist of Arsenal. The Gunners will look to make a move for the West Ham United attacking star next summer.
Kudus made quite a name for himself, with his impressive performances for Ajax. On the back of those performances, he earned a big money move to the Premier League. Since joining the Hammers in the summer of 2023, the Ghanaian international has only gone from strength to strength.
While West Ham are struggling to get the desired results, Kudus still remains one of their best players on the pitch having scored two goals in his eight league outings. The 24-year-old’s contract with the Hammers runs until the summer of 2028, and there is an option to extend it by another 12 months but he might not be around for long.
Mohammed Kudus has expressed his desire to play European football on a consistent basis, and he could look to join a bigger club to ensure that. While there is a £85 million release clause in his contract, a winter move is unlikely.
Arsenal to push for Kudus next summer
Mohammed Kudus is expected to stay at the club until the end of the season but could push for a move next summer when Arsenal could look to make a move for him.
The Gunners have a long-standing interest in the versatile forward who can feature on either flank as well as a number ten. They continue to monitor him and could knock on West Ham’s door in the summer of 2025.
Arsenal do have a lot of quality in their attack but they are constantly looking for players who can further bolster their squad. Kudus has already proven that he has what it takes to succeed in the Premier League, and a move to the North London club could be the best possible next step for his career.
But, the Ghanaian international won’t come cheap. The Gunners will have to fork a significant fee to convince West Ham to sell one of the best players.
