Manchester United and Chelsea are interested in acquiring the services of FC Porto attacking sensation Samu Omorodion.

According to a report from Fichajes, Manchester United and Chelsea are both keen on reinforcing their attack in the near future and they are interested in the services of Samu Omorodion. The Spanish youth international has only gone from strength to strength since moving to FC Porto and both Premier League giants want to sign him.

After coming up the ranks at Granada, Omorodion joined Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2023. Since there was no place for him in Diego Simeone’s team, they ended up sending him out on loan to Deportivo Alaves to ensure he continued his development.

He had an impressive season away from Atletico. It resulted in a significant amount of interest in his services. Simeone’s team ended up selling him to Porto last summer and booking a significant profit. Since moving to Portugal, the Olympic Gold medalist has had 11 goals in as many outings.

Premier League giants keen on signing Omorodion

The Spanish youth international’s performances haven’t gone unnoticed and he finds himself on the wishlist of some of Europe’s biggest clubs. Chelsea and Manchester United are two clubs who seek more firepower in the final third are impressed with the 20-year-old’s performances and want to sign him.

Enzo Maresca’s team had him on their wishlist in the summer and they are willing to try again to sign him. United who are all set to welcome Ruben Amorim in the near future also seek more quality up top. While they did sign quite a few forwards during Erik ten Hag’s time at the club, the Red Devils want an out-and-out goal scorer and Omorodion could help their cause.

Both English clubs are not going to find it easy to sign him as he is quite happy to continue at Porto. His contract there runs until the summer of 2029 and he is protected by a massive €100 million release clause.
