West Ham United are keen on signing the Colombian international attacker Jhon Arias.
According to a report from RTI Esporte, West Ham have resumed talks with the officials of Fluminense and it will be interesting to see if they can get the deal done.
Apparently, the Hammers were keen on signing him during the summer transfer window but they did not proceed with negotiations back then. It seems that the player’s representatives have now received new contacts from West Ham in recent days.
It will be interesting to see if they can get the deal done. The Hammers are in desperate need of a quality attacker and Arias could prove to be a superb acquisition. The 27-year-old will add goals and creativity to their attack and he could transform them in the final third. He can slot in anywhere across the front three as well.
West Ham decided to sign Niclas Fullkrug from the Bundesliga at the start of the season but the German international has not been able to live up to the expectations. His performances have been quite underwhelming and he has struggled with injuries as well.
West Ham need right additions
It is evident that West Ham will need to sign a quality attacker if they want to do well this season.
Signing a quality attacker in January will help West Ham bounce back strongly. Furthermore, a move to the Premier League will be quite exciting for the Colombian striker as well.
He will look to prove himself at the highest level and a move to the Premier League would be ideal. It remains to be seen whether the two clubs can work out a deal that benefits them both. The striker is at the peak of his powers and he has the physical and technical attributes to succeed in English football.
