According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Jon Aramburu is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. The reigning La Liga champions are scouring the market for a right-back heading into the 2025 summer transfer window. So, the 22-year-old Real Sociedad full-back has emerged as a target for Los Blancos, with Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan also keen on signing him.
Who is Jon Aramburu?
Jon Aramburu has established himself as one of the best young full-backs in La Liga since joining Real Sociedad from Real Union in August 2023. A native of Caracas, the South American full-back spent his formative years in Spain and Venezuela, progressing through the ranks at Real Sociedad but graduating from the youth division at Deportivo La Guaira after FIFA regulations forced him to return to his homeland.
The 22-year-old enjoyed success with Deportivo La Guaira after breaking into the club’s first-team squad before returning to Spain in 2022. However, the youngster has seen his stock soar during his spell with Real Sociedad, making his senior bow for La Real in November 2023.
The Venezuelan international is now a regular for Real Sociedad and has turned out 26 times thus far for the Basque outfit. Meanwhile, Aramburu’s progress at the Reale Arena has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs across Europe, including Real Madrid.
