Barcelona want €100 million to sell Raphinha amid Manchester City, Newcastle United links

Barcelona wants at least €100 million to sell Raphinha as Premier League interest intensifies ahead of the January window.

According to Fichajes, Barcelona will not sell Raphinha for less than €100 million, although that does not mean they are willing to offload the Brazilian star. The winger has been at his best for the Catalans this season, as clubs like Manchester City and Newcastle United are reportedly looking at signing him.

Raphinha has made a significant impact on Hansi Flick’s plans, as he’s now considered one of the most critical players on the squad. The in-form Barcelona star has six goals and eight assists this season for the Catalan club, which has continued to attract interest from the English market.

Back in the summer, Raphinha rejected the idea of leaving Barcelona when Saudi clubs were willing to pay a hefty fee alongside a few Premier League teams. He feels comfortable at the club and sees himself playing here for many more years to come, as Barcelona remains his dream club.

Given that Barcelona tried very hard to sign Nico Williams, which would have directly impacted his place in the squad, their failure to bring the Spanish winger has galvanised the Brazilian. The in-form Barcelona star could still attract considerable interest from Premier League sides, with Manchester City and Newcastle United the latest to join the chase.

Raphinha might have shown an interest in returning to the Premier League in the summer, but now it appears he’s genuinely enjoying life with Barcelona. In any case, with the January window around the corner, teams will come in with big offers to test the Catalan club’s resolve, as their financial situation still demands a few big sales from their current squad.

Raphinha price tag revealed

Barcelona reportedly wants €100 million or more to sell Raphia, a considerable bump-up from what reports suggested they wanted around the summer. At that range, they will almost double their investment in the player. Teams like Manchester City and Newcastle United are looking closely at market opportunities to improve their attacking setup.

They have shown an inclination towards paying big for the right quality, and in this case, they might consider making a move for the winger. Any chance of his departure in the January window seems unlikely unless Barcelona decides to go in that direction, as the Brazilian might be sacrificed for €100 million in the winter market.
