Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid will have to fork out €90 million to sign Inter Milan midfield mainstay Nicolo Barella.
Nicolo Barella’s future has become a big talking point. While he still has years left on his deal with Inter Milan, the Italian international could be on the move in the near future. Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid are all interested in him and according to a report from Fichajes, Inter are ready to sanction his departure as long as their asking price of €90 million is met.
Barella came up the ranks at Cagliari Calcio and made a name for himself while playing for their first team before securing a move to the Italian giants in the summer of 2019. While it was an initial loan deal, the move was made permanent in the summer of 2020.
The 27-year-old has only gone from strength to strength over the years establishing himself as one of the best midfielders in the world. While he penned a new deal at the beginning of the year and still has well over four years left on his contract, Barella could be on the move as there is interest in his services from some of the biggest clubs.
European giants are keen on signing Barella
Manchester City are one of the clubs who are interested in the Italian international’s services. They were quite impressed with his performance against them in the Champions League. The club are in need of freshening things up in the centre of the park and Barella could be a great addition to their squad.
Liverpool are also interested in the services of the Inter midfielder. While their priority is to bring in a number six, Arne Slot seeks depth and Barella could be an exceptional signing for them as he can feature in all three roles.
Apart from the Premier League giants, Real Madrid are also interested in the 27-year-old. Los Blancos are looking at him as an ideal long-term replacement for Toni Kroos who hung up his boots after the end of the 2023/24 season.
While Inter want to have Barella around for as long as possible, they are not in the best of financial situation and won’t mind sanctioning his departure if their asking price worth €90 million is met. Having secured his long-term future in the summer, Inter will have the upper hand in negotiations with any of the interested clubs.
