According to TBR, Mega-rich MLS upstart San Diego FC are eager to bring Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne to the US next season. The league’s costliest franchise is ready to make a big statement ahead of its debut season with such signings, but there are massive difficulties in luring the influential duo, especially with the Saudi Pro League circling around for their signature.
Kevin De Bruyne and Mohamed Salah are in the final year of their respective deals, as their departure will represent a change of guard in the Premier League. The influential duo have achieved iconic status in England following years of continuous success at the top level, as losing them would be a blow for the English top flight.
The duo are in a similar boat when it comes to their futures, as neither player is close to signing a new deal with Manchester City or Liverpool. The Reds are relaxed about Salah’s situation, knowing very well that Saudi sides are keen on signing him, while Manchester City are also aware of similar interest in their Belgian star, although they are working on a new deal for the playmaker.

They are owned by British-Egyptian businessman Sir Mohamed Mansour, who owns the famed Right To Dream football academy in Ghana and Danish side FC Nordsjaelland. At the same time, they are also the most expensive franchise ever, having cost half a billion dollars.
Having already signed Hirving Lozano as one of the three designated players, San Diego FC still have two big slots available for top-rated stars. They are eager to bring Salah and De Bruyne as statement signings as they embark on a new journey in the MLS. However, signing the duo will be extremely difficult given the money offered by the Saudi side, something their Egyptian owner may need help matching.
Signing Salah and De Bruyne very difficult
