Mykhailo Mudryk might push for winter exit from Chelsea

Chelsea vs FC Noah: Preview and Prediction.

Chelsea’s attacking sensation Mykhailo Mudryk could push for a move away from the club at the start of next year.

According to a report from Football Insider, Mykhailo Mudryk could look to leave Chelsea in January as he has gone down the pecking order at the club. The young winger has only had limited game time so far and he might want to leave Stamford Bridge to reignite his career elsewhere.

The Blues forked out a fortune to acquire his services in the winter of 2023 from Shakhtar Donetsk. He was considered to be one of the biggest talents in Ukrainian football but the young winger has failed to live up to the expectations at the London club.

He has featured in a total of 63 matches for them and has contributed towards just 13 goals (7 goals, 6 assists). Mudryk has failed to make the most out of the opportunities that he has had. He has gone down the pecking order following the arrival of Jadon Sancho at the club.

Mudryk wants to leave Chelsea in the winter

The former Manchester United star has been pushed into the starting XI under Enzo Maresca and so far Mudryk has been on the pitch for just 61 minutes in the Premier League. The Ukrainian international is frustrated by the lack of minutes and is considering his future at the club.

He penned down a deal over seven years when he joined the London club at the start of 2023. His contract runs until 2031 but it seems his time at the club could end soon. The Blues are ready to sanction his departure in the upcoming transfer window as they feel he is no longer an important part of their plans.

While they are ready to sell, they will look to recoup a significant part of what they had invested to sign him. It is going to be very difficult for Mudryk to reignite his career at Stamford Bridge given the amount of talent they have in the final third. As a result, it will be in the 23-year-old’s best interest to leave and try his luck elsewhere.
