Bayern Munich have stepped up contract renewal talks with Jamal Musiala amidst interest from Arsenal, Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Liverpool.
According to a report from TEAMtalk, Bayern Munich are pushing hard to renew the contract of their attacking sensation Jamal Musiala. While his deal does not end until 2026, there is a lot of uncertainty around his future as top clubs from across Europe want to sign the German superstar.
At just 21, Musiala has established himself as one of the mainstays at club and country. He had an exceptional season with Bayern Munich last time out and even did wonders for Germany at Euro 2024. He has carried that form into the 2024/25 season with two goals and an assist in his first three league outings.
European giants keen on signing Jamal Musiala
While the youngster still has over 18 months left on his deal, his future has become a massive talking point as top clubs are looking for an opportunity to prise him away from Bayern Munich. Chelsea are considering bringing him back to the club. He was a part of their youth ranks back in the day, and they surely regret letting him join the Bavarian giants.
The Blues’ new project revolves around having the best young players in their squad, and Musiala can surely help their cause. His ability to feature anywhere in the final third could do wonders for them. Meanwhile, Liverpool are also in the mix. The Reds see the German international as an ideal fit for their system and feel he could be their next big star with Mohamed Salah’s future uncertain.
Arsenal are also in the mix, Mikel Arteta would love to have someone who will bolster his attack and give him tactical flexibility. Apart from the English giants, Real Madrid are also keen on his signature. The Spanish giants are always on the lookout for players who can help further strengthen their squad, and Musiala surely can.
Bayern Munich pushing hard for a renewal
With the biggest clubs in Europe ready to lure him away from Bayern Munich, their sporting director Max Eberl is well aware of the fact that they will not find it easy to negotiate a renewal with the 21-year-old.
Eberl while speaking on Sport1 said via the Mirror: “It’s difficult, but not impossible – as Jamal knows what he has at Bayern Munich. He grew up here and has brought himself to this level. Talks are intensifying. We are extremely ambitious and he knows that he wants to win titles.”
While Eberl has admitted that will find it difficult to strike an agreement with the German international. Bayern have stepped up their efforts to extend his stay at the club. They want to ensure one of their biggest talents, who is valued at £120 million, does not end up leaving the club. But, he is reportedly looking for a £300,000-a-week salary, which will surely complicate things.
