The 24-year-old is ready to commit his long-term future to the club, but he wants to insert a release clause in his contract so that he remains in control of his future. His current contract has a release clause worth around £150 million, which can be activated in 2025
It will be interesting to see if Barcelona and Real Madrid are willing to pay a premium for him in the coming months. Both clubs could use a quality striker, and Haaland is certainly the best in the world right now. The 24-year-old has been exceptional since his move to the Premier League and he is scoring at an absurd rate in English football.
