Monaco defender Vanderson has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham interested.
Vanderson is a target for Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. The Brazilian is valued at €35-40 million, and the West London club are reportedly leading the race for his signature, as per Caught Offside.
Chelsea could certainly use a quality right-back, especially with the number of injuries Reece James has picked up in recent seasons. Vanderson would be a quality long-term acquisition for them, and he could compete with the England international and Malo Gusto for the starting spot at Stamford Bridge.
The 23-year-old certainly has the physical and technical attributes to do well in English football, and he could be a key player for Chelsea in the long term. Regular football in England could accelerate his development and help him fulfil his tremendous potential. The Brazilian is more than just a defender, and he will help out in the attack as well.
Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham keen
A move to Chelsea will be an exciting opportunity for him, and he will look to prove himself at the highest level. Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and even though they have not been at their in recent seasons, they are an attractive destination for players.
Similarly, Manchester United could use more depth in the right-back department as well, with Vanderson in their sights. They have sanctioned the departure of Aaron Wan-Bissaka during the summer transfer window, and the Brazilian could be a solid addition despite Noussair Mazraoui’s arrival.
He will certainly fancy his chances of overtaking Diogo Dalot for a place in the starting lineup. It will be interesting to see if Manchester United can win the race for his signature. As for Tottenham, they already have players like Pedro Porro and Djed Spence at their disposal.
It would be quite surprising if they decided to pursue the Brazilian in the coming months without selling Spence. The reported €35-40 million valuation is better spent elsewhere for the North London giants. They need to bring in a quality central midfielder and another central defender. That said, all three clubs have two right-backs and must offload one before pursuing Vanderson.
