Belgian club Westerlo keen on Tottenham prodigy Alfie Devine

Belgian outfit Westerlo are looking to sign Tottenham Hotspur attacking sensation Alfie Devine before the end of their transfer window.

The North London club have had an impressive transfer window in terms of incoming as well as outgoings. They have added a lot of quality to their squad and have managed to offload quite a few players who were surplus to requirements. Apart from that, they have loaned out quite a few of their young stars to ensure they get enough first-team action.

According to Paul O Keefe, Alfie Devine could be the next young sensation who leaves Tottenham in search of regular first-team action as Belgian club Westerlo are keen on signing him in the coming days. They want to add more firepower to their squad and feel the 20-year-old English youth international could help their cause.

Devine has come up the ranks at the North London club. He had an impressive loan spell at Plymouth during the second half of last season as he was involved in 15 matches and even contributed towards two goals. On the back of his performances, he has been promoted to their first team.

While Ange Postecoglou will look to hand him opportunities whenever possible, the attacking midfielder is unlikely to have much game time at Spurs. While he still has three years left on his deal and they consider the England Under-20 star to be an integral part of their long-term plans, he could be on his way out in the next days.
